Description

This scholarship recognises the single highest-ranked recipient of a UC Core Doctoral Scholarship at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha University of Canterbury. Top-ranked candidates who have been selected for a UC Core Doctoral Scholarship are automatically considered for the Brownlie Scholarship, no application is required.

The scholarship was established in 1998 in recognition of the outstanding contribution to the development of Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha University of Canterbury by Professor Albert Brownlie, Vice-Chancellor 1977–1998 and Head of Economics 1965–1977.
