Description
This UC Master's Scholarship for Students with Disabilities supports students of high academic achievement who have a significant disability, for study towards a master’s degree at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury.

The scholarship offers $14,000 per annum.
Tuition fees at the Aotearoa New Zealand domestic rate for enrolment in courses that constitute study and research in a master’s programme for the minimum programme completion requirements: normally equivalent to 120 points (full-time) or 78 points (part-time thesis, dissertation, project) or 60 points (part-time course work) over a year.
Eligibility
- The scholarship is tenable by full-time and part-time students enrolled in a programme for a master’s degree at the University. Applicants may be either intending to enrol in a programme for a master’s degree at the University or already enrolled in such a programme.
- Applicants must have a disability that significantly impairs ability to study.
- Applicants must have a disability that significantly impairs ability to study, and they must submit evidence regarding the degree of that impairment. Selection is based on academic achievement and the degree of severity of the disability and the extent to which it impairs the applicant's ability to carry out the course of study. Preference is given to those working towards their first master’s degree.
