Description
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides funds for scholarships, which can be tendered by the University of Stuttgart (subject to an annual confirmation of the contract by the DAAD).
The scholarship line “scholarships for graduation" is directed towards international students in their final phase of studies or PhD.
The aim is to support qualified students so they can concentrate on completing their studies.

Eligibility
International students (Bildungsausländer/innen)
- Who will earn their degree from the University of Stuttgart (BSc, MSc or PhD)
- Who are about to start or are in their final semester (regular study period): BSc: 6th semester at the earliest, MSc: 4th semester at the earliest, PhD: within the final 12 months of doctoral studies and only with certification of acceptance by the faculty
- Who have good grades and a positive prognosis concerning the final exams or the graduation of studies/PhD studies
- Who are in a difficult financial situation/financial emergency
- Who do not receive a full scholarship from a German or foreign organization

Current transcript of records of your studies at the University of Stuttgart
Reference letter of a professor and one of an academic staff member of yourstudy course confirming your qualification for the studies. The letter must alsoinclude a positive prognosis concerning graduation and a time frame in which asuccessful graduation can be expected
A written statement why you apply with specific regard to your financial situation e.g. cessation of income or financial support, expiry of a previous scholarship etc. (included in application form)
Complete and current proof of income e.g. printouts of all bank accounts of the last three months, pay slips
Current job contracts with current salary slips (if any)
Current scholarship letters / contracts (if any)
Applications can be handed in at the International Office twice a year by the deadlines January 31 and June 30.
