Description
Postgraduate scholarships to promote, develop and strengthen the relationship between Mexico & the United Kingdom.
CONACYT (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología) offers scholarships to Mexican students enrolling on postgraduate courses.
The scholarships fund study in both taught and research courses, in key priority areas (as specified by CONACYT).

Benefits
As part of an agreement between King's College London and CONACYT, King's will offer CONACYT funded students a tuition fee discount of 30% for up to 1 (one) year for Masters students and up to 3 (three) years for PhD students. The 30% discount is a new rate, effective for new scholars joining King's.
Note that, students who hold more than one loan or scholarship from Mexican sponsors are entitled to only one tuition fee discount/waiver from King's College London, at the highest applicable rate.
As part of the agreement, CONACYT will offer funds towards tuition fees and maintenance for 1 year to Masters Students and for 3 years to PhD students. The value of funding offered by CONACYT will vary from student to student and is based on individual assessment.

- Students must meet the standards required by CONACYT as well as the entry requirements for admissions to their chosen programme (including any English language requirements) in order to be eligible for the scholarship.

Application deadline
Students interested in pursuing a Masters or PhD Degree at King's must apply for admission following the usual King's procedure, and meet the standard admissions entry requirements (including any English language tests). Students must also submit an application to CONACYT, following their own application procedures, timetable, and match the standard requirements of CONACYT.
Funding is approved and confirmed direct to scholars by CONACYT. Only those students who are able to commence a full-time Master's or PhD programme at King's and who have approved funding from CONACYT can benefit under our agreement.
