The scholarships of the French Embassy in Singapore are awarded to excellent students who wish to do their thesis in France, in a co-supervised thesis project. The thesis must be a genuine Franco-Singaporean research project.
"MERLION PhD, the spin-off of the MERLION program, was launched in February 2006 by the Scientific and Academic Section of the French Embassy in Singapore, as part of the Franco-Singaporean cooperation in science and technology. MERLION PhD aims at creating strong and lasting cooperation links between France and Sinagpour.
The research project must be jointly defined and agreed upon by both French and Singaporean partners.
The duration of the stay supported by the French Embassy is 18 months over a period of 3 years (6 months/year).
A monthly allowance of approximately €650, round-trip airfare between France and Singapore per year, social and liability insurance.
