Description

Heterogenous Systems trains people to challenge current state-of-the-art in computational modelling of heterogeneous, ‘real world’ systems across a range of research themes such as nanoscale devices, new catalysts, superalloys, smart fluids, laser-plasma interactions etc.

Applicable programmes

Benefits

Awards for both UK residents and international applicants pay a stipend to cover maintenance as well as paying the university fees and providing a research training support grant. The stipend is at the standard UKRI rate (for 2023/24 that is £18,622 per annum).

Eligibility

  • For the 2024/25 academic year, funding is open to both UK and International research students.
  • PhD applicants with at least a 2:1 honours degree at BSc or an integrated masters degree in a physical sciences, mathematics or engineering discipline.
