We encourage our PhD students to approach their research topics from an interdisciplinary angle and combine comparative literature, theoretical and practical approaches to the mechanisms of culture and other methodological and research approaches.During their studies the students achieve an in-depth knowledge of contemporary approaches in the humanities and in cultural theory.The study programme is aimed at all people who are interested in

          PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

        Academic Requirements

        • Application cover printed from the online application system
        • Copy of a Bachelor’s degree certificate or equivalent + transcript of records 
        • Copy of a Master’s degree certificate or equivalent + transcript of records
        • Plan for the doctoral thesis signed by the prospective supervisor
        • Proof of English Proficiency
        • Copy of the identification page of passport
        • Admission exam is based on the initial plan for the doctoral thesis that is agreed with the prospective supervisor 
        •  A draft of the research proposal (.pdf format) should be sent. A copy with a signature of the prospective supervisor is required to be uploaded to the online application system DreamApply.

        Doctoral allowance is a monetary allowance granted to a person in Doctoral studies pursuant to requirements established in Study Allowances and Study Loans Act to enable commitment to Doctoral studies and research and to cover the expenses related to the acquisition of education.
