Today’s technological trends require computing systems with great flexibility, capable of adapting to unforeseen and uncertain conditions, and with human-like interaction capabilities. Machine learning, data science and applied mathematics, as well as bio-inspired algorithms are yielding technology that endow a computer system with these capabilities, necessary to transform the 21st century society, economy and environment. The PhD program in Computer Science at Tecnológico de Monterrey aims to give students the necessary skills to play a leading role in this technological trend.
The PhD, research-oriented and integrated with the MSc in Computer Science, is designed to train highly qualified computer scientists that, upon completion, strongly contribute to the knowledge in their field. Both programs are supported by research groups in Intelligent Systems, Bioinformatics, Models of Machine Learning, Industrial Engineering and Numerical Methods, all receiving funds from our institution and from external agencies.
