- Students in the Electrical or Electronic Engineering program from Stellenbosch University without a prospective supervisor will not be considered. If you meet the above admission requirements, you therefore first have to find a prospective supervisor before applying.
- You can look through our research activity and staff pages and reach out to individual supervisors to hear if they would be willing to supervise you.

General requirements
- Student finds a prospective supervisor who is willing to supervise them (see above).
- The student and supervisor complete and sign the departmental application form (available to the supervisor here).
- All students apply on SUNStudent.
- The supervisor submits the following to the Postgraduate Administrator.
- Only after these details are received from a supervisor, does the Postgraduate Administrator send the required documents to the E&E Management Committee for consideration.
- If accepted, the Management Committee notifies the prospective supervisor, who then notifies the student.
- The Postgraduate Administrator notifies the university’s Registration Office, which then sends out emails notifying the student of their formal acceptance.
