The Department of Macromolecular Science of Osaka University is unique in the sense that it belongs to the graduate school of science, and the objective of our department is basic research on macromolecules.

The department consists of the following four major research groups: (i) Polymer Synthesis and Reaction Chemistry, (ii) Structure, Function, and Properties of Polymers, (iii) Macromolecular Assemblies, and (iv) Informative Polymer Science.
