Overview
In addition, we must consider issues that have not been dealt with in conventional engineering, such as the social impact of robots and the psychological impact on humans, and issues that have traditionally been considered humanities.
Features
- As technology and society become more sophisticated and complex, it is becoming difficult to create convenient things and comfortable environments with just one technological element, and the importance of the concept of systems is increasing.
- In the Intelligent Systems Science from Osaka University, we conduct education and research on general principles common to various systems and methods of constructing systems.
Programme Structure
Curriculum:
- Today, humans live in harmony with various systems. Examples include automobiles, robots, artificial satellites, and the Internet. Such a system is made up of many elements and can be called a complex system.
- For example, in order to realize a robot that works in cooperation with humans, it is necessary to use sensors and image processing that perceive the surrounding environment, intelligent information processing that allows computers to make autonomous judgments, and motors and other components to move the robot.
- It is necessary to organically integrate various technical elements such as control as one system.
