The aim of the Ph.D. program in English Literature is to prepare students to be productive scholars, intelligent critics of literature, and competent academics.
The curriculum emphasizes English-language literature from across the globe, we are equally dedicated to providing a liberal arts education.
To that end, we encourage students to make interdisciplinary connections and choices, and foster reading, writing and speaking skills that will serve them in a range of life paths.

For PhD applicants: foreign language proficiency exam scores (YDS/e-YDS/ YÖKDİL);
Graduate exam scores (ALES/GRE/GMAT);
Diploma or certificate of graduation or certificate of graduation obtained via e-government system;
Student disciplinary record (required for applicants holding a degree from a university in Türkiye);
Official transcript;

Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye who received their undergraduate or graduate degree abroad must submit a document of equivalence in order to be registered to a graduate program;
