Features
Besides taking part in the obligatory and elective training, Science and Technology doctoral candidates at the University of Würzburg are expected to attend at least two international conferences / workshops with a contribution of their own (talk, poster presentation) until graduation.
Graduation also requires substantial contribution of the doctoral candidate – at least co-authorship – to at least one publication in a peer-reviewed international journal.

- A successful, qualifying degree from an officially-recognized university (decision by the doctoral committee)
- Confirmation from a professor who is willing to supervise the research and who will either propose a topic or accept a topic proposed by you
- Letter of acceptance from the doctoral committee
- Proof of German proficiency when deemed necessary by the respective doctoral PhD regulations
