About the programme
Theories and data from many different fields of knowledge are used in Planning and Decision Analysis studies.
The subject-specific skills developed within the doctoral programme at KTH Royal Institute of Technology are intended for the critical evaluation and integration of such theories and data, and the assessment of their relevance and uncertainties.
The theoretical basis is taken from e.g. planning theory, decision theory, environmental systems analysis and theory of science.

The general entry requirements at KTH are met by those who:
- have been awarded a second-cycle qualification, or
- have satisfied the requirements for courses comprising at least 240 credits of which at least 60 credits were awarded in the second-cycle or
- otherwise acquired largely equivalent knowledge.
