About the programme
The Department of Public Health and Caring Sciences (IFV) at Uppsala University has an extensive research conducted by ten research groups in the disciplines of public health and caring sciences.
We are engaged in teaching at Med School, the nursing programme, the speech and language pathology programme, the programme in public health and several independent courses.

General requirements
A person meets the general entry requirements for PhD Programmes if he or she:
- has been awarded a second-cycle qualification;
- has satisfied the requirements for courses comprising at least 240 credits, of which at least 60 credits were awarded in the second-cycle; or
- has acquired substantially equivalent knowledge in some other way in Sweden or abroad.
