About the programme

Theory of Science at the University of Gothenburg also investigates the position of science in society and the role played by scientific methods and findings in social processes of change, as well as issues of research policy and research ethics.

Theory of science is influenced by and developing its analytical tools in collaboration with the sociology of science, philosophy of science, history of science as well as with cultural and policy studies of knowledge and science.
