General requirements
- Meet the general eligibility requirements for third-cycle studies.
- Hold a second-cycle degree or have completed at least 240 credits, including 60 credits at second-cycle level.
- Be considered capable of successfully benefiting from doctoral education.
- Have completed at least 30 second-cycle credits in Philosophy, Practical Philosophy, or Theoretical Philosophy.
- Have completed a degree project worth at least 15 credits within the subject area.
- Applicants with equivalent knowledge acquired in Sweden or abroad may be considered after assessment.
- Exemptions from the general eligibility requirements may be granted in exceptional cases where special grounds exist.
