Meet the general eligibility requirements for third-cycle studies.
Hold a second-cycle degree or have completed at least 240 credits, including 60 credits at second-cycle level.
Be considered capable of successfully benefiting from doctoral education.
Have completed at least 30 second-cycle credits in Philosophy, Practical Philosophy, or Theoretical Philosophy.
Have completed a degree project worth at least 15 credits within the subject area.
Applicants with equivalent knowledge acquired in Sweden or abroad may be considered after assessment.
Exemptions from the general eligibility requirements may be granted in exceptional cases where special grounds exist.
