About the programme
The subject of Education has a special interest in the relationship between the individual and the society, and the conditions under which institutional conditions act and have acted over time.
At the University of Gothenburg educational processes and outcomes are studied within contexts of structure and agency, and their interrelations, within as well as outside formal education.

General requirements
- A person meets the general entry requirements if he or she has been awarded a second-cycle qualification, or has satisfied the requirements for courses comprising at least 240 credits of which at least 60 credits were awarded in the second-cycle.
- A person meets the specific entry requirements if he or she has 90 higher education credits in education, of which at least 30 credits were awarded in the second-cycle, including an independent project (degree project) comprising at least 15 higher education credits.
