The doctoral studies emphasizes the need for broad training in the theoretical and empirical cores of the discipline and we stress the importance of methodological pluralism.

The PhD programme at the University of Gothenburg has close ties with our areas of research, and doctoral students make a significant contribution to the work of the Department of Political Science.
