Overview
Studies in Social Work at the University of Gothenburg focus on potentially vulnerable individuals and groups, and their living conditions. Furthermore, social work also focuses on social interventions, social policy and social processes.

The Department of Social Work has about 80 junior and senior social scientists, who are conducting research with different theoretical and methodological perspectives.
Our research projects are diverse. For example, we conduct research projects in the area of children and family, poverty, addiction, disability, migration and gender violence.
