Overview
About the programme
The Doctoral program focuses on the communicated musical knowledge with the help of theoretically developed methods in the subject area in interaction with the practioner’s own artistic context. Reflection on the student’s own practice is an essential tool for knowledge and innovation in the field.
The Musical Performance and Interpretation degree programme at the University of Gothenburg places larger emphasis on the student’s ability to anchor their own creative work in arts-‐based practice, theory, and methodology and to clearly position themselves in an artistic research field where art and scholarship are in dialogue.
