About the programme

The Department of Business Administration at the University of Gothenburg offers a doctoral study programme in:

Business Administration:

We focus on studying how organisations, in both the private and the public sector, work within their surroundings and interact with them.
Organisation-based research in business administration and economic geography is allowing us to develop a knowledge and understanding of enterprise which is paving the way for well balanced development of companies and society.

Economic Geography

Our Economic Geography research is focused on regional economic change and structural development, and geographical aspects of international business.

General requirements

A person meets the general entry requirements if he or she has been awarded a second-cycle qualification, or has satisfied the requirements for courses comprising at least 240 credits of which at least 60 credits were awarded in the second-cycle.
The specific entry requirements for third-cycle education in business administration are fulfilled if the applicant has completed at least 90 higher education credits within the subject, including a degree project corresponding to 15 higher education credits or equivalent knowledge acquired in some other way.
