About the programme
The Department of Business Administration at the University of Gothenburg offers a doctoral study programme in:
Business Administration:
- We focus on studying how organisations, in both the private and the public sector, work within their surroundings and interact with them.
- Organisation-based research in business administration and economic geography is allowing us to develop a knowledge and understanding of enterprise which is paving the way for well balanced development of companies and society.
Economic Geography
- Our Economic Geography research is focused on regional economic change and structural development, and geographical aspects of international business.

General requirements
- A person meets the general entry requirements if he or she has been awarded a second-cycle qualification, or has satisfied the requirements for courses comprising at least 240 credits of which at least 60 credits were awarded in the second-cycle.
- The specific entry requirements for third-cycle education in business administration are fulfilled if the applicant has completed at least 90 higher education credits within the subject, including a degree project corresponding to 15 higher education credits or equivalent knowledge acquired in some other way.
