Research

The Department of Economics at the University of Gothenburg hosts a diverse and internationally renowned group of academic economists.

The core areas of research are behavioral economics, development economics, environmental economics and financial economics.

In addition, health economics, labour economics, industrial economics and public economics are growing in importance. The research is to a large extent published in highly ranked international journals.
