Overview
About the programme
Prominent Biomedicine research areas at TU Dresden include immunology, metabolism, tumor biology, neuroscience, bone research, and germ-cell biology, and there is a special emphasis on stem- and progenitor-cell research.
To address the great complexity of basic and disease-related mechanisms and factors, we use a wide range of tools, including high-end microscopy and other imaging and cell-sorting methods, sophisticated mouse manipulation including humanized animal models, iPS and other stem cell technologies, molecular approaches, and innovative screening technologies.

Requirements:
- You have a truly excellent academic record and previous research experience.
- You are highly committed to scientific research, and you have the potential and eagerness to conduct demanding research projects.
- You have a distinctive proficiency in textbook knowledge of the relevant scientific disciplines.
- You are proficient in the English language. Provision of TOEFL or IELTS results and GRE examination results is strongly recommended but not mandatory.
- You hold (or anticipate to receive before taking up the PhD thesis work) a Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry/Biochemistry, Biomedicine (including Medicine), Physics/Biophysics, Bioengineering, Biomaterials, Mathematics, or Computer Science
