Overview
The objective of the Pure and Applied Mathematics course at Politecnico di Torino is to promote, organize and manage the activities of master's graduate students in order to obtain the title of doctor in Pure and Applied Mathematics.

- The research topics of the program belong to the PE1, SH4 and SH6 classes of the research areas of the European Research Council and cover all areas of pure and applied mathematics: Logic, Algebra, Geometry, Mathematical Analysis and PDE, Probability, Statistics, Physics mathematics, numerical analysis, mathematics.
- Education, history of mathematics, with a wide range of applications, including engineering, architecture, urban planning, medicine and epidemiology, pharmacy, economics.
Programme Structure
Curriculum:
- The doctoral program combines disciplinary specialization and a variety of theoretical and methodological approaches.
- It provides doctoral students with useful preparation both in academic research and in the applications of mathematics to the private sector (such as biotechnology and nanotechnology, pharmaceutical companies, management, healthcare organizations, etc.).
- The doctoral program promotes collaborations with international experts and institutions, as part of an international co-supervision program.

- All applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee (€ 30,00) for each application submitted (one application per each PhD programme).
- After submitting the application, no changes are allowed. It will not be possible to upload any other document.
- Master’s degree with the minimum grades of 95/110 or another second-level academic qualification earned abroad and recognized as valid for the admission to the PhD programme (or an average grade of their Master’s exams GPA greater than 25/30)
