- Priority objectives for training are first of all the creation of a common background through a set of introductory courses such as Sustainable transport systems, The future of nuclear energy, Energy and smart buildings, Energy for future factories , in which, following an initial introduction on Global energy trends and outlook, all Energy PhD students at Politecnico di Torino are offered an overview of each of the main thematic areas on which the PhD is structured.
Programme Structure
Curriculum:
- The common bases for carrying out a research activity which in the energy field is necessarily multidisciplinary are thus created.
- The training then continues through courses of a disciplinary, interdisciplinary and transversal nature, with the aim of selecting and training researchers, innovation managers, policy makers in a field, such as energy, of strategic importance for the development of every modern industrial society.

- All applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee (€ 30,00) for each application submitted (one application per each PhD programme).
- After submitting the application, no changes are allowed. It will not be possible to upload any other document.
- Master’s degree with the minimum grades of 95/110 or another second-level academic qualification earned abroad and recognized as valid for the admission to the PhD programme (or an average grade of their Master’s exams GPA greater than 25/30).
- a certificate proving their knowledge of the English language: IELTS minimum score 5.0.
