About the programme
The mission of the Department of Aquatic Resources (SLU Aqua) at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences is to increase knowledge and understanding of the Swedish marine, lake and river ecosystems.
We want to enable future generations to benefit from sustainably managed stocks of fish and shellfish in a biodiverse ecosystem. Our research contributes to enhanced environmental quality and improved management of aquatic resources.

General requirements
To be admitted, you need to:
- hold a second-cycle (Master’s) qualification or at least 240 credits, of which a minimum of 60 credits are from second-cycle courses;
- meet the English language requirements;
- demonstrate enough potential and skills to be able to successfully complete your studies.
Those who appear to be best suited to doctoral studies will be invited to an interview.
