Overview
The Heritage Studies programme at The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus - Senftenberg aims to develop both qualitative and quantitative, international and interdisciplinary research on the protection and use of human heritage.
The programme focuses on theory- and practice-oriented research activities related to cultural heritage and the relationship between cultural heritage and the transformation processes caused by globalisation.
Professional Fields of Activity
Graduates work in a variety of professional fields: Teaching and research, UNESCO offices and National Commissions, heritage site management, heritage organisations in the public and private sectors, consultancies, tourism companies, museums and other heritage-related institutions.
