Overview
The home department is normally the department of the proposed supervisor and will provide the applicant with a mailbox and access to other services and facilities normally available to students enrolled in graduate programs in that department.

- Students in the Individualized Interdisciplinary Studies program from Simon Fraser University, together with their supervisors, will create a customized interdisciplinary program plan that reflects the individualized aspect of the program prior to admission.

- This program consists of course work, a comprehensive examination and a thesis for a minimum of 30 units.

- Application is through the online application system. Completed applications and accompanying materials must be submitted to the department before the deadline specified by the department.
- Applicants are advised to check with the appropriate department as to the prevailing application procedures and deadlines for the graduate program in which they are interested.
- Applicants are advised that deadlines for applications for awards and teaching assistantships may be earlier than the deadlines for application to a graduate program.
- All decisions on graduate admissions are made by the senate graduate studies committee, on recommendation from graduate program committees.
- Decisions on admissions shall be final. Final approval of admission for non-degree students or exchange graduate students is by the dean of graduate studies.
