Overview
Students develop a deep appreciation for, and understanding of, the complexities of health problems and solutions through an extensive health research thesis and through core courses developed to explore interdisciplinary health topics, health science communication, grant writing and ethics.
Features
- This Health Sciences program at Carleton University is designed to meet a growing need for interdisciplinary health research, and advanced skills in knowledge translation and handling comprehensive datasets.
- The interdisciplinary nature of the program ensures research theses span health disciplines, are informed by expert faculty and external partners across health sectors and fields of research, and that and that knowledge is communicated to stakeholders across scientific and broader health communities.
Programme Structure
Curriculum:
- Our graduate programs are distinct due to relationships our Department and faculty have with organizations based in Ottawa including Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada, and with our many national and international collaborators.
- Through these partnerships our students are engaged in internationally-recognized, high-impact, interdisciplinary health research.
