Choose from two areas of study in the Engineering Science program offered at the Laurentian University: mining engineering and mineral processing and extractive metallurgy, and from many research topics under three broad headings: mining engineering, process engineering, robotics, automation and advanced methods.

Curriculum:
- A global centre for mining technology and research, Sudbury is the site of the world’s largest mineral exploration and mining-service clusters in the world.
- It is home to two of the world’s deepest mines and is the corporate headquarter for numerous multinational mining companies.
- Ravaged for decades by industrial pollution, it has since been recognized by the United Nations for its widely celebrated remediation and rehabilitation success story, now referenced as the Sudbury Protocol.
