Choose from two areas of study in the Engineering Science program offered at the Laurentian University: mining engineering and mineral processing and extractive metallurgy, and from many research topics under three broad headings: mining engineering, process engineering, robotics, automation and advanced methods.

Curriculum:

A global centre for mining technology and research, Sudbury is the site of the world’s largest mineral exploration and mining-service clusters in the world.

It is home to two of the world’s deepest mines and is the corporate headquarter for numerous multinational mining companies.

Ravaged for decades by industrial pollution, it has since been recognized by the United Nations for its widely celebrated remediation and rehabilitation success story, now referenced as the Sudbury Protocol.
