Overview
About the program
Our mission in advancing, sharing, and applying knowledge revolves around two key questions: adapting the built environment to societal and environmental changes, and using design, planning, and engineering interventions to better satisfy human needs.
The broad context of Urbanism encompasses socio-ecological inclusive planning and design and integral urban development. It involves engineering-, social- and environmental-based methods and techniques as operative instruments and the development and application of advanced urban data science and geospatial information technologies.
At the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) we emphasise the development of the disciplines and the interaction of these fields in terms of theories, methods and techniques, and their application via concepts, strategies, and spatial interventions.
