Overview
Scientific dialogue and cooperation among different disciplines and research interests is a fundamental element of the PhD History and Philosophical-Social Sciences program at Tor Vergata University of Rome, which aims to train young researchers capable of reaching levels of excellence in the analysis and methodological skills of historical knowledge and the philosophical-social sciences.

- Within the framework of a broad internationalization, teaching activities include conferences and seminars with Italian and foreign scholars, some of whom are members of the PhD teaching staff.
- Co-tutela, exchanges and stays abroad for doctoral students are promoted in order to foster relations with the international networks.

General requirements
- The call is open to all applicants with a second level degree obtained in Italy or abroad.
- The PhD Board will have to establish whether the degree awarded abroad could be considered equivalent to an Italian degree or not, through a specific assessment limited to the PhD call purposes.
- The PhD description pages form an integral part of the call and duly provide the requirements for the admission along with the expected dates of the exams.
- Any changes to the dates will be available in each single PhD description page with a 15 days’ notice.
