About the programme

This research-focused doctoral programme in Nursing at the International Islamic University of Malaysia will promote the development of a cognitive style that emphasizes abstract thinking and critical analysis of the research findings for building knowledge that advances culturally competent nursing and nursing education.

The programme aims to inculcate the Islamic knowledge and value in nursing art and science for the nature and future of humankind. The fundamental concern is to promote human wellbeing at an individual, local and global level within a sustainable environment.
As such, this program is different from other interdisciplinary educational initiatives in that its curriculum is purposely designed rather than simply an amalgamation of existing disciplines.

A relevant Bachelor's degree and Master's degree or equivalent from IIUM or any other accredited institution of higher learning
A suitable Research Proposal is required for Ph.D. applicants
