The philosophy of the Engineering programme from Osaka Metropolitan University (OMU) is to contribute to the development of a sustainable society and the creation of culture in the field of engineering, which is an integration of science and technology by emphasizing the search for truth and the creation of knowledge, advancing science and technology in harmony with the natural environment, solving problems from a wide range of perspectives and an Earth-centered view to create cities of the next generation, and by creating new industries based on outstanding science and technology with the mission “to engender a free and enterprising spirit, to educate young people who will contribute to the development of innovative new technologies and will reach out to the world.”
