Overview

The PhD program in Public Health from Khalifa University includes a course on Applied Artificial Intelligence in Public Health, which explores the potential of artificial intelligence to transform the field of public health. Another unique course in the program explores the role of genomics in public health and personalized prevention. Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the PhD in Public Health, a graduate will be able to:

• Design public health studies using advanced methods to evaluate population health issues, investigate etiologic and preventive relations, predict health outcomes, provide input for program evaluation, and advance the knowledge base.

• Evaluate public and population health needs and conduct independent, original research that addresses a gap in the scientific literature and/or need in society.

• Develop communication that incorporates the critical importance of evidence in advancing public health knowledge in a manner appropriate to researchers, businesses, governments, communities, and other stakeholders.

• Plan studies that demonstrate adherence to research principles, integrity, and ethical standards in human research.
