Student services
The main contact for most international students at Lund University are the international coordinators, Master's coordinators and/or study advisors at the faculties and departments. If you have any questions related to your studies at Lund University, these coordinators and advisors will be able to help you or refer you to the right person.
Housing services
The University departments are spread throughout the city; accordingly, Lund University does not have a particular campus area. Getting around in Lund is easy, whether on foot, bike or by bus. If you choose to live in Malmö or Helsingborg, there are regular trains and buses making it is easy to commute to Lund. When applying for housing we encourage you to search for housing within as well as around the cities where our campuses are located the distances are not far and you can easily commute from places such as Malmö, Eslöv, Kävlinge, Åkarp, Staffanstorp, Landskrona and Helsingborg.
Library services
Lund University has one of Sweden’s oldest and largest research library networks, with 26 libraries across the campus and 200 librarians.
ICT services
Please contact LU ServiceDesk if you experience any IT-related problems. You can contact LU ServiceDesk through the self-service portal, phone or email (there is no walk-in desk available). The self-service portal also provides the latest operating information, as well as user guides for the majority of Lund University's systems.
Medical services
For general medical issues, you can turn to health centres in Lund, Malmö or Helsingborg. It's up to you to decide which health centre (Vårdcentral) you wish to turn to – you can health centres close to you in the link below.
Campus life
Lund University's main campus is located in the city of Lund, which is 15 minutes by train from Malmö (the third largest city in Sweden) and less than an hour from Copenhagen (Scandinavia’s largest city and the capital of Denmark). The city is famous for its bustling student life and academic traditions, its charming and historical city centre, and for being in an innovative and entrepreneurial region.
Sports facilities
There are many opportunities for students to keep fit or participate in sport. The student nations, student associations, local sports clubs and community sport facilities offer a range of sport and exercise activities in Lund, Malmö and Helsingborg.
Student clubs
Lund University has a wide range of student associations. They are run by students, for students and they revolve around music, drama, "spex" student theatre, politics, religion and much more.
The associations often have information evenings and kick-off meetings at the start of the autumn and spring semesters. If it is your first semester in Lund, you can meet a number of the societies at the student associations' fair (called Hälsningsgillet in Swedish) which is held at the AF building at the start of each semester. Some of the societies are affiliated to the Academic Society (AF) that organises a number of cultural activities for students.
Lund University School of Economics and Management is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and the Association of MBAs (AMBA).
