De Stichting Catharina Halkes Fonds stelt zich ten doel onderwijs en onderzoek op het gebied van theologie in feministisch perspectief (mede) in stand te houden en te bevorderen.
De stichting dankt haar naam aan Catharina
J.M. Halkes (1920-2011). Zij was de eerste hoogleraar van de studierichting Feminisme en Christendom in Nederland, aan de Katholieke Universiteit (nu Radboud Universiteit) van Nijmegen.
Theologie in feministisch perspectief heeft zich in Nederland zowel binnen theologische opleidingen als daarbuiten ontwikkeld. Voor de voortgang hiervan is het noodzakelijk te beschikken over eigen financiële middelen.
