RDI Projects
- Project results are being created in applied research, method development and experiments as well as seminars and workshops. In addition to the Central Finland region, we cooperate in national and international networks.
Career
We work in various teaching positions with young people and adults, focus on specialist tasks, participate actively in national and international networks and work with an entrepreneurial spirit across units. In Finnish and in English! We produce publications and implement client projects.
Almost half of our staff work in specialist positions, over 100 work in research and development and the rest work in support services that secure our operations.
Work has been made smooth: we offer the latest educational technology, a wide variety of workspaces and, when feasible, the possibility to work remotely.

JAMK does not provide student accommodation.
In Jyväskylä, student accommodation is provided by KOAS. The rents of KOAS apartments are usually lower than in the free market, because the foundation does not aim at making profit. Students can live in the accommodation provided by Koas during their entire enrolment period.KOAS has several dozens accommodation units on 27 locations, in different parts of Jyväskylä. KOAS offer student flats for over 4000 students. The majority of the apartments are small flats, studios, two-roomed flats, and cell apartments for two or three students. Some cell apartments are furnished (bed, mattress, desk, chair, a kitchen table and chairs).Library services
The Library of JAMK is one of the largest libraries in Central Finland. Our services are open to the public, so anyone can become our customer. We are the most significant gatherer of field-specific information in the region.
ICT services
Information and communication technology offers work for skilled people. You may choose either gaming, cyber security or information networks and the study style of your liking according to your interests.
Sports facilities
Yoga or ice hockey, volleyball or frisbee golf, zumba or gym exercise? What is your choice? There are a variety of ball games, group exercise opportunities, and sports events on offer for UAS students. Additionally, JAMKO negotiates membership benefits for its members on different sports and exercise-related courses and events.

The quality of education is good as teachers always strive to make sure that students get the best out of every lecture and are always willing to assist students in their studies. I would recommend studying at JAMK if you are looking for a school with a good quality of education.
