Housing services

The cost of living in Bremen is manageable; on average, our students spend between 300 and 400 euros per month on accommodation. Of course, it also depends on what you want (shared flat, live alone, hall of residence) and the district (popular with students are the Neustadt, the Viertel, and Walle).

Library services

The Bremen State and University Library ensures that the university and colleges in the state of Bremen are supplied with literature and information. It supports studies, teaching and research in the subject areas

Campus life

The Hochschule Bremen is located right in the middle of Bremen. Thanks to its central position, all HSB campus locations are easily accessible by public transport. With the so-called semester ticket, students can travel free of charge by bus and train in Bremen and the neighbouring federal state of Lower Saxony – even from as far away as the North Sea coast, Hamburg or Kassel. Or you can ride your bike in the bicycle district that surrounds HSB (a first in Germany) with rental-free bikes for our students and a repair café.

Bad communication

The communication between the lecturers and students is not the best. Some of the professors are not really interested in teaching. That is a shame.

Internationality

I enjoy studying at the Hochschule Bremen. Personally, I really like the internationality of the school with the many partner universities it has. When looking for a place to study abroad or to perform an internship you have the opportunity to choose from a variety of universities from all over the world.
