History
Milano Fashion Institute is an interuniversity consortium for the higher education in the fashion industry founded in 2007 by three Milan universities: Bocconi University, Cattolica University and Politecnico of Milan, whose goal is the creation of a multi-disciplinary training center of excellence at an international level.
Education
Thus, Milano Fashion Institute is a unique initiative in Europe. The training programme involves academics and researchers in Economics and Management disciplines from Bocconi University, in Social Sciences and Communication from the Cattolica University, and in Technology and Design from Politecnico of Milan.
Research
The cultural and scientific aim of educating new professional profiles has permitted, since the foundation of Milano Fashion Institute, a close proximity of the actors involved in the educational process, to the business system, at an Italian and international levels, thus stimulating a conscious sensitivity towards changes in the industry, and towards innovation processes

Career
The Educational offering of Milano Fashion Institute foresees a continuous interaction with Italian and international companies operating in the Fashion, Luxury and Lifestyle sectors. Milano Fashion Institute supports the activation of curricular internships, an opportunity for students to learn and for companies to confront, constantly supervised in order to guarantee a concrete training chance for the student, and a valuable experience for the host company.
It’s possible to activate an internship with students regularly enrolled in our Masters programs, through registration on the "MFI Career Service" portal that allows companies to publish internship announcements, together with the company profile.

Student services
Milano Fashion Institute’s Orientation Program provides guidance to prospective students that are willing to understand what is the most suitable educational path for their career development. The Program involves carrying out an orientation interview with the Academic Coordinator, taking a tour of the campus facilities, and being introduced to Faculty Members and Alumni upon request.
Housing services
After having successfully passed the selection process, Milano Fashion Institute can advise students and provide information on accommodation during your time in Milan.
Campus life
Milano Fashion Institute’s classrooms are located inside the Politecnico campus – Bovisa Milan, and adjacent to the Tremelloni Library, inside the Politeca building.
All the Milano Fashion Institute's Masters are first level University Masters, accredited by the Politecnico of Milan, School of Design. All the Masters will release 60 university credits (CFU, i.e. "crediti formativi universitari") by Politecnico of Milan.
