History

Our university is named after one of Australia’s most successful leaders and the country’s 14th prime minister, John Curtin. Fittingly, his namesake university is admired as a forward-looking university that embraces courage and diversity in ideas and qualities, placing Curtin in the top 1% of universities in the world (Academic Ranking of World Universities 2021).

Housing services

Explore a diverse range of student accommodation options at our Curtin Perth campus, all located within a five-to-ten-minute walk from the centre of campus including St Catherine’s College and UniLodge Twin Dolphin Hall. Both are located in the northern end of campus, within our dedicated innovation precinct, Exchange. 

St Catherine’s College offers an all-inclusive experience with the opportunity to enhance your studies through academic and employability programs. 

UniLodge managed accommodation is where you can enjoy living independently, while also being a part of a diverse community with regular events and opportunities to meet new friends. 

Library services

Curtin University Library is a library with great heart that empowers great minds. We are an enabler of success for our clients by providing inspiration and service excellence. We have an anticipatory, future-focused approach in our work which continually fosters creativity and innovation. 

ICT services

Curtin has guest Wi-Fi accounts for visitors who are not able to connect to the eduroam network. These guest accounts allow a visitor to connect to the CurtinGuest wireless network and access the Internet. There is no email facility attached to the account, but you may access a third party web-based email provider.

Over the years, our physical expansion has mirrored our forward-looking nature and responsiveness to the changing needs of our students, partners and the broader communities we serve. 

Our largest campus, Curtin Perth, is located in the suburb of Bentley, about six kilometres from Perth city. It’s a place of inspiration, technology-rich learning spaces, high impact research and exciting activities. All courses are available at Curtin Perth. 

Curtin Murray Street, in Perth’s central business district, is home to the Curtin Law School, strengthening our links with the legal profession and the commercial heart of Western Australia.  

Sports facilities

Curtin Stadium is the hub for all things sport, recreation and fitness at Curtin University. Curtin offer competitive gym memberships for students, staff and the local community to promote healthy living.
