I am Emmanuel Amoah, a graduate of the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Ghana, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering. I am pleased to share my study experience at UMaT and how it has shaped my academic interests and aspirations toward further studies at Flinders University. My experience at UMaT was both demanding and fulfilling. One of the things I appreciated most about the university was its strong emphasis on practical and industry-oriented education. The programme challenged me to think critically, solve real-world problems, and apply theoretical concepts through projects, assignments, and collaborative work. These experiences significantly strengthened my technical abilities, analytical thinking, and passion for emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and intelligent systems. I also valued the supportive academic environment and the opportunity to interact with students and lecturers from diverse backgrounds. The university encouraged independent learning, teamwork, discipline, and innovation, all of which contributed greatly to my personal and professional growth. My studies exposed me to areas such as software development, intelligent computing, data analysis, and research, which motivated me to pursue advanced studies in the field of intelligent technologies. While my experience at UMaT was very positive overall, I believe there is room for improvement in expanding access to modern research facilities, advanced computing resources, and stronger international industry collaborations. Enhancing these areas would provide students with even greater exposure to current technological developments and global research opportunities. Overall, my time at UMaT was transformative and rewarding. It provided me with a solid academic foundation, valuable practical experience, and the motivation to pursue further research and innovation in intelligent computing systems. I am confident that the knowledge and skills I gained at UMaT have prepared me well for graduate studies and future contributions to the field of Artificial Intelligence.
I offer health informatics as my first degrees and I want to expand my knowledge on public health
what I really liked about my study experience was the learning approach and the supportive environment. The courses were relevant, I gained useful skills that I can apply in real life. I also appreciate the diversity of students which made learning more engaging. One thing that could be improved is better access to resources and more career guidance, especially when preparing students for the job market. Overall, my study experience has been positive and valuable, It has helped me grow academically and personally, and I feel more prepared for my future carreer.
