In 1996 the government of Malaysia was looking for methods to liberalise higher education in the nation, and to involve the private education sector in the development of this critical sector of human capital building. As such, the Ministry of Education was looking for an established private company to kick off the pilot project for university building.
Today, Universiti Telekom Sdn Bhd (UTSB), a wholly owned subsidiary of TM runs the three campuses as one university named Multimedia University (MMU). Aligned with its parent company’s interests, UTSB has been entrusted to contribute proactively towards nation building and towards making Malaysia a world-renowned centre of academic excellence in the areas of information technology and multimedia.
Over 100 researchers and academic members from all faculties in MMU participated in a one-day workshop on journal writing & publication for science and technology on 15 March 2017 at Cyberjaya campus and on 16 March 2017 at Melaka campus.
We would like to extend this opportunity to your Bachelor students who are interested in exploring a work environment filled with passionate and energetic team members. It is our goal to give useful experiences that are relevant to their field of studies and make it beneficial to the development of their careers after graduation.
Upon receiving an offer letter from MMU, students need to submit proof of payment for USD 500 which includes application fee for a Malaysian Student Pass, health examination, medical insurance card, administrative charges, as well as the fee for the pass (for the duration of less than 6 months).
Let off your steam from studying all day and join in any of our clubs and societies for a balanced lifestyle, in and out of lecture halls.
Multimedia University (MMU) is the first private university approved by the government. As a private university, MMU is governed by the Private Higher Education Act 555 which subjected our programmes to get approved by several bodies in Malaysia.
