In 1961, the Feng Chia College of Engineering and Business was established on Guanyin Mountain in Beitun District of Taichung City. Two years later it was moved to its present location in Xitun District. University status was granted in 1980 and the name changed to Feng Chia University (FCU). For over 50 years, FCU has steadily increased in size and scope.
Currently, it is comprised of ten degree-granting schools and colleges: School of Management Development, School of Architecture, International School of Technology and Management and the colleges of Engineering, Sciences, Business, Humanities and Social Sciences, Finance, Information and Electrical Engineering, and Construction and Development.
FCU has continually sought to carry out breakthrough research and to cultivate interdisciplinary research teams to elevate its R&D capabilities. There are 37 specialized research centers on campus. Every year, these centers carry out research and participate in industry-academia collaborative projects, the collective value of which ranks at the top of Taiwan’s universities. In addition, these projects provide valuable information for scholars and important contributions to society.
Though a vast majority of our students contact alumni, Taiwanese relatives or friends, or current students of the Language Center to arrange their living accommodation, the FCU is willing to help all prospective students who arrive on their own.
The services we can provide prior to your arrival is to help you book temporary housing at the nearby hostel or hotel, or put you on the waiting list for the dorms.
With more than 170 clubs, including student government organizations, art, health, and sports clubs, we offer a wide range of activities including social events, training courses, and educational trips. You will never have too much fun!
The accreditation application is a complex process which consists of a variety of evaluations and several stages. AACSB International membership is requisite for participation.
