KU Medical Center strives to educate exceptional health care professionals through a full range of undergraduate, graduate, professional, postdoctoral and continuing education programs. We operate three schools:

Research

- Our Research Centers and Institutes are hubs of innovation.
- KU Medical Center is one of over 50 institutions in the national Clinical and Translational Science Award consortium. Through Frontiers: University of Kansas Clinical and Translational Science Institute, researchers are working to speed basic-science discoveries into cures.
- The University of Kansas Cancer Center is one of only 68 National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers in the country.
- The KU Alzheimer's Disease Center is one of only 29 National Institutes of Health-designated Alzheimer's Disease Centers.

Housing services
The Office of Academic Accommodations helps to facilitate and provide equal educational access and opportunity for all members of our community. Medical services
KU Medical Center is home to The University of Kansas Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center (one of only 71 NCI-designated centers in the country), as well as a National Institutes of Health-designated Alzheimer's Disease Center (one of only 32 such centers in the country).
Campus life
Its main campus at the corner of 39th Street and Rainbow Avenue in Kansas City, Kan., consists of the University of Kansas School of Medicine, School of Nursing and School of Health Professions, as well as The University of Kansas Hospital, which is a separate entity. The School of Medicine — the only medical school in Kansas — also has campuses in Wichita and Salina. The KU School of Nursing has campuses in Kansas City and Salina.
Sports facilities
As part of the continuum of health care at KUMC, Kirmayer provides an integrated outlet for recreation, wellness and fitness.
The University of Kansas is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. This institution has been continuously accredited since 1913.
