Studying at PUCP was the best decision I made

I chose to study Psychology at PUCP after attending several events and a summer preparation course on its impressive campus. From the beginning, I found the academic experience both intellectually stimulating and personally transformative. During the first two years, the focus on general courses emphasized not just high performance, but meaningful learning and real-life application. Discussions were often centered on current issues, which helped me develop strong critical and logical thinking skills. One of the strongest aspects of the program was its emphasis on research and academic rigor. Throughout my studies, I was encouraged to ground every project in solid evidence, a practice that has significantly shaped the way I approach professional challenges today. Although some course content was outdated, there was always space for debate and the introduction of new ideas. The curriculum’s research orientation aligned well with my career goals, though I recognize that those seeking more clinical or organizational training may find the course offerings in those areas limited. Overall, studying Psychology at PUCP was a rewarding and eye-opening experience. It taught me that sustained effort can lead to meaningful contributions to society. The Faculty of Psychology provided a supportive environment where I was able to develop my ideas and projects, and I always felt that the department genuinely cared about the students.

Very bad major in Psychology

Outdated classes and library (which was always to crowded and hot to study in). No flexibility from professors.
