Education
Saba University offers an excellent medical program which prepares students for their future clinical careers. You’ll begin by studying the Basic Sciences curriculum to build up your knowledge of the human body and how medicine is used to treat it in states of disease. You’ll then progress onto the Clinical Medicine program in which you’ll participate in a series of core and elective clinical rotations.
These are used to help you put into practice all the theoretical knowledge you’ve developed. Core clinical rotations cover five areas: General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Psychiatry.
Research
Research is important at Saba University so before you embark upon your clinical training, you’ll complete a research module. Through this you’ll learn about the processes of reviewing medical literature, developing a testable hypothesis and assessing findings from a study.
To showcase what you’ve learned, you will be required to write a research paper. Students are also encouraged to conduct independent research projects alongside their programs of study.
Career
The Basic Sciences curriculum is thorough and constantly updated to align with contemporary medical research. As such, you will be well prepared for your career as a medical professional.
The clinical rotations are integrated into the program to help you develop the skills to be a doctor and to help you decide whether there is an area you might want to specialize in in the future. Rotations are a good way to study different fields of medicine and try them ahead of applying for a residency.Saba University Scholarships
