History
Since its inception as a Community College in 1975, UCCI transformed from being a part-time establishment to a full-fledged tertiary level institution offering a plethora of programmes in the Associate, Bachelor and Master's levels as well as Professional Education and Workforce Training.
Education
UCCI offers Certificate Programmes in Accounting, Computer Technician, Electrical Technology, Construction Technology, and Hospitality Studies. Associate and/or Bachelor degrees are offered in the areas of Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Education, Finance, Hospitality Management, Legal Studies, Literary Studies, Management, Nursing, Primary Education, Science, and Social Studies. Graduate degrees include a post-Graduate Diploma in Education, the Commonwealth Executive Master of Business Administration (CEMBA) and the Commonwealth Executive Master of Public Administration (CEMPA), as well as an Executive Certificate in Global Leadership.

The Blackbaud Student Information System (SIS) allows students to register online for classes, view previous grades, view the status of their current enrolment as well as their current degree plan.
The University College of the Cayman Islands is accredited by Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC). ASIC is recognised by UKVI in UK, is a member of the CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) in USA and is listed in their International Directory, is a member of the BQF (British Quality Foundation).
