The origins of the National University of Lesotho go back to April 8, 1945, when a Catholic University College was founded at Roma by the Roman Catholic Hierarchy of Southern Africa.

Housing services
The Department of Students Affairs provides limited accommodation to students. There are only thirteen halls of residence with capacity to accommodate 1,304 students. Due to this limitation preference and priority of accommodation is given to freshmen, completing students and international students.
Library services
The NUL Library plays a central role in ensuring the fulfilment of core academic initiatives, of the University. The Library strives to provide a dynamic information service to its clientele in order to give a practical meaning to the university's purpose as a centre of excellence in learning, teaching and research.

Studying Mathematics and Physics is worth it
I liked the Applicability of the concepts in my courses.
My matric journey
At first I was scared and nervous probably because most of the people discouraged me telling me I won't get a matric certificate because I'm a foreigner schooling in south Africa,that didn't stop me from passing with a bachelor the people who encouraged were the teachers complimenting my hard work especially the English and maths teacher I saw that I have potential I worked harder what can be improved is that learners in their matric should not be over pressurized they need break and encourage them because it's hard and the work is a lot but it's all worth it my overall study experience was quite fun and serious we had classes took turns to share what we think about certain problem we encountered in a subject helped each other seek help from our teachers though it's wasn't always fun but It was worth it those sleepless night studying really paid and those Saturday classes and afternoon classes

University’s weakness
Poor management. They are disorganised They don't care about their students well being financial they will just keep on lecturing knowing quite well that a lot of Basotho are sponsored by the government if the government delays to offer students their loan.
